Abundant on rocks and hillsides in northern and western Gran Canaria, from almost sea level to 1000 m (see Suárez 1994).

Tenerife Distribución: Canarias Exclusiva de la isla de Tenerife, donde llega a ser abundante en la cara norte de la isla. Rosetas muy grandes. Puede sobrepasar los 80 cm de diámetro. Hojas carnosas y vellosas. Rosetas basales con tallo apenas existente.
